Posi for vette will it fit
i was lookin around a freind of mines garage and for a posi unit from an old vette, i think 60's. i want posi in my Iroc. i was wondering if i can stuff just the posi unit in my rear tranny or not. i belive its a 10 bolt and i also have a 10 bolt. any feedback is apprieciated

No. There are 3 different 10 bolts. 7 1/2" (7 5/8"), 8.2" and 8.5". The 8.2 isn't very common so I would say the one in the vette is 8.5". It won't fit in your 7.5" 10 bolt.

The Automatics had Dana 36's, and the Manuals had 44's.
But that's on the C-4's('96-'84). I'm not sure on anything before 1984 aka. C-3 ('82-'68), C-2('67-'63), etc...
