corvette converter

How high does a Corvette converter stall at?

The guy at th trans shop said he would sell me 1 for 110$$$, is that a good price?
any other converter options?

In the Vettes they were rated at 2000 stall, I have one behind my 383 and it seems to stall around 2400. I gave $75 for mine and exchanged the old 305 converter, but that was 10% over cost with no taxes, so yes that is a good price. For a ton more money than I would spend on a converter, like $550 you can get something with a higher stall and smaller rotating mass which will help, but decide on your priorities. Good luck!!

Will the car aways accelerate faster, or just when I brake torque?

Yes it will always accelerate faster, but depending on which converter you have now it may not be a huge difference. I had the junky 1600 stall and then changed to the 2000, that made a noticable difference. Good luck!!
