Any tips or tricks for 700-r4 install?

I ordered my 700-r4 from pro-built a couple weeks ago, it should get here this week or next (I can't wait!), which means one of the upcoming weekends I'll be doing a tranny swap. Currently I have a worn-out 700-r4.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips, tricks, or advice that will make this swap easier? I've helped install a T56 in a thirdgen but the manual tranny is a lot narrower, without the big pan on the bottom. Also if possible I don't want to have to remove the interior to get access to the top of the tranny.

Thanks in advance!

If it wont shift into second gear like mine did not you have not got the fluid level correct most likely too low. If you then put too much fluid in the gear shifts are also strange, did that as well.
It is difficult getting fluid out the tranny (no drain plug). I spent hours trying to work something out. Sucking, syphoning did not work as the oil is too thick. Then I noticed my gallon container of hand cleaner Swarfega or similar it has a hand pump on the top. Removed it cleaned it and connected a pipe on the bottom and it could pump about a pint per minute if required.
Considering how much oil is in the tranny it is surprising how much difference a pint of oil makes to the gear change.
