Only problem is those S10's didn't usually have posi(in fact rarely because the deep geared ones has the 4 banger in them). Early model thirdgen's could have posi 3.73's, but are hard to find. A used posi is worn, and could be worn enough that it doesn't work anyway. If you plan on keeping the car, IMO, put new stuff in the rear.

i suppose my GT4 YC4 Y06 axle under my 84 L69 MD8 MXO Z28 is desireable ?? maybe ? lol....

yeah 3.73 was under the 86 S-10 with 2.5L 4 bangers with o/d auto and 3.42 is under the 91 4.3L S-10 with o/d auto, my bro had one of each and the rpo codes showed this fact

but they dont have no 9.5" ring gear though ! saginaw apparently made soem oddball 10 bolts in our cars ? i have one whatever it is... i had no clue before tonight that any such wierdo axle existed, aluminum drums must be the key, i have them on mine, so....

9.5 inch ring gear!! Do you have some pics of this? That has to be a big housing to carry a 9.5 inch ring gear. Back in 1950 they had some 9.5's, 14 bolt though. Maybe you have 9.5 drums or something. I really, really doubt you have a 9.5

They are 7.5 ring gears, and I believe that the gears are interchangable between the s10s also.
