3.73 vs 4.11 Gears?

I think my rear end limited slip is broke. I have an 5.7L. TPI L98 '89 TA GTA with the 9 bolt rear end. I wanted to know what is the best size gears to put in there. And what brand and where to find them. I also wanted to know what would be the best limited slip to put in there, where and what brand too. i can't seem to find anything for the 9 bolt. I'm planing to put a low end cam in it. And a transgo shift kit in a rebuilt trans. if that makes a difference. Thanks.

Jeff

9 bolt rear end gears are so much money, there are some 3.70s for like $319 at www.gearsareus.com, and they are suppose to be a cheap place to shop. I saw some going on ebay for more than that. So good luck finding some cheap ones

The stock TPI stops breathing past 4500 rpms, and you're putting in a low end cam. Either of those gears are going to hurt you cause they'll keep you out of your powerband. That's what happened to me going from 2:73 to 3:73 posi, and didn't gain any time. I'd say get some 3:4xs.
