I thought I had a trans leak so after a few weeks of checking and adding fluid its now way over filled,and has been driven alittle like this.Will the trans leak just from being over filled?Or is it not possible unless a seal is also bad?I know the other problems with over filling already.thanks

 

the system is a closed system, except for the oil level check hole (where you remove the dipstick). I suppose it could leak thru there, but you'd have to fill it pretty high for that. Your dipstick would also be completely covered, so that would be noticeable quite easily.

If the level keeps dropping, check the pan area, but also easily checked are the cooler lines, which run out from the passenger side of the tranny, and enter the radiator up near the top, also on the passenger side. Those are areas easily checked, and easily fixed if they leak (ie., need tightening).

I always thought there was a hole on the top of the tranny that when over filled will leak out of it.

 

I thought they had that same hole.I still cant figure how I put so much in it?anyway Im sure its the front seal.
