Im just a little upset now, stuff keeps going wrong on my car with every month, When I was going to virgina from tennessee on spring break I was going at normal speed, decided I wanted some gas milage so I put it in 5th, went into the gear fine, well I thought released the clutch, pushed the gas and it just reved, went back into 4th, tried the same thing, it looks like my overdrive is NOT working, at this point I am almost crying cause I pay for everything myself and I know I wont be able to afford a new transmission, am I correct in assuming that my transmission is gone? all gears work fine except my overdrive gear... thanks for all the help

When was the last time you replaced the clutch?

 

Never replaced the clutch.... I bought it with the 350 already installed with the factory t5, but my question is, is my transmission fu*ked or is it something else here is the gist

All 4 gears plus reverse works... overdrive does not work at all, just sits and reves in 5th... I have no money to fix it either way I just want to know what the deal is before I start looking for another job to pay for a transmisson or clutch, I will put them in myself thats not a problem... so what do you guys think it is? bad clutch or just a bad transmission... thanks for all the help

 

anyone know if my transmisson is going out? or is it my clutch, problem is overdrive just reves in gear, all other gears work fine...

well, i am thinking one of two things, either the shift linkage for fifth isnt working(broke) or the gear is gone(destroyed)
