My rear end on my camaro is going out and i want to get a new/used one that is better. It has a 10 bolt with 2.73 gears and a 2 series carier and is 26 spline with the gears and limited slip going out. I want to have my car when im done with it running 10s so im talking alot of power... Now im sure i need to change to a 12 bolt rear end because i havent heard of any 10 bolt rear ends being able to handle cars that fast... if im wrong let me know. I want to get a 12 bolt with 3.73 gears and posi with a better spline so my question is how do i go about getting one for the chepest? i heard somewhere that i can get a 4th gen camaro rear end and put it on for like 300 bucks... are those 12 bolts? i know they have better gears and better splines but if anyone can help me with some specifics and suggestions please let me know. Right now money is tight but if i need a to wait a while to get it done then i will cause i dont wanna get a new one that ill have to change again in the future.

 

I'm pretty sure all the 4ths are 10-bolt
