If your gears are OK, and 3.23 or higher, just drop in a SLP take-off posi. You already have 28 slpine axles, it'll fit right in there.
www.slponline.com, $84.95
I don't know what the boneyards are getting though.

30 spline stock axles? Not saying you're wrong, but I've never heard of stock 30 spline axles. I have the same rear in my '91 RS and I have the 28 spline.
Anyone else??

As long as it's the 7.5/7.625" 10 bolt, it'll fit.

Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
I dunno where you're getting this, or how much you're paying, but a little trick I've used is this. The carrier is the same for all rear wheel drive cars after 1990. So if you go to the junkyard and get one out of a S-10 or Caprice, or whatever, then the junkyard will charge less for it.
Well the one by my house does.
