Slave clycinder

Bought a new slave cly. installed it and wanted to test it before I put it on the trans. Went to push pedal and heard "SNAP" that stupid retraining strap on it snaped! The damn this was $56 how important is the retraining strap, looks like 2 zip ties with a titty. my old one was broken.

you are supposed to cut that

that releases the thingy to push or pull the clutch

Changed my clutch disc and throwout bearing, now my pedal is far out of adjustment.
