I just bought a parts car and it speedo goes higher than the stock one i have ..when i took the gauge cluster from the parts car i noticed that the speedo was electric..the one in my car is cable.
im not sure what the tranny is in the parts car(88 2.8 bird auto),and my car is an l69 5-speed.I know the tranny has the sensor where the cable goes to make the speedo work and im sure i could handle the wiring to make it work too,,,my ? is will the sensor from the auto work in my t-5?if not how can i make this speedo work,,,my car now has a custom autometer phanton gauage cluster,but im selling it to help pay for my twin turbo setup.
so i figured that the 120 mph from the parts car with some diy white inlays would look just as good as the custom does.
any help?
