T5 behind a 400?
Ok, I blew up my auto, and I am going to put a 6 speed in as soon as i can afford/find one, so I really dont wanna waste 600 bucks on a rebuilt 700R4. I can get a whole BW T5 setup from a junk yard for dirt cheap, but would it handle my engine at all? Of course this would be temporary, but with easy shifting, would it work? What about the T5 from a six cylinder? Also, how hard is it to swap from a auto to a manual, and how will i know where to cut the hole for the shifter?
Oh almost, forgot - What would I do about a flywheel? Could i jet get an early T5 flywheel for a 2pc rear main seal and get it counterweighted?
