I have a BW 9-Bolt rear end and would like to know if the posi unit in it is usable in a regular 10-bolt rear?
i.e. Am I stuck using it only on another BW 9-bolt rear?

Unfortunately, 9-bolt parts are not interchangeable with anything.

Yep. Internally, 9 bolt parts will only work in a 9 bolt.
