Hello I am Thinking of putting a T56 in my car out of a 94-97 F body. I have a 1986 Camaro, I am not running a computer in the car and was wondering how I'm supposed to hook up the speedometer since the t56 has an electronic speedo and my camaro has a mecanical speedo, I would like to retain the factory Speedometer if possible. Does anyone make a kit to fix this problem? Also what else do I need to hook up Someone said I have to hook up a Reverse lockout? is this true? any help would be appreciated greatly. also websites and names of companies would be great also. http://www.jagsthatrun.com/ has the tailshaft kit that will use the cable speedometer with a T56. Also, wire your reverse lockout to your brake switch, that way you can only shift to reverse when the brakes are applied.
