5 Spd To 4 Speed Swap

Have mild built 305 tpi 5 spd 88 iroc, friend recommended changing to 373 rear end w/ 4 speed and different prom...
any thoughts? i would prefer to keep veh semi-original and rebuild the 5 speed...

Do what you want. If you need to hear someone say you should rebuild the 5 speed...well then, here goes:

Rebuild the 5 speed and don't listen to your screwball friend.

Axle/Gears: Moser 9"/4.11 Trac-Lok
Losing overdrive & lowering the rear ratio does not make any sense. Rebuild the 5 speed.

I would not swap a five speed for a four. If anything else was going in there, it would be a T56.
