Did I kill my tranny?

I decided to go to the gym before returning to work, so I backed the Maro out of the car port and took off. Slapped the Megashifter to second and it acted like it went in neutral. Same for 3rd, and OD. It just will not shift out of first after it starts moving. First, rev, and park still work fine. The fluid still looks like new on the dipstick, no shavings or burnt smell. Last night though is when I think it died. I was starting up the short 1/2 mile road to my house, most of the road you travel no more than 10 to 15 mph so I was in first. Got to a short straight and floored it. At 5,500 I slapped 2nd, which usally gives a nice chirp and squeal. This time though it felt like the car was trying to shake it's self apart. Like really bad wheel hop. Which is what I atributed it to since I havent got my LCA relocation brackets on yet. Left her in second, let off and drove it the rest of the way to the house and put it up for the night. Hopefully the megashifter's cable just vibrated out of adjustment, but my luck isn't that good. Guess its time to be concidering a 6spd swap. Sad part about it is the trans is a B&M so I hope it isn't trashed just from the money aspect of it. Some have mentioned it could be the govoner. But I have no idea where it's located or how to remove it and check it. Anyone have any ideas?

If you have 1st & rev. only, and it happened all at once then I would check out the governor gear, sounds like it is broken. This seems to be quite common. Hope this helps.
