I do believe you need something to make it fit, but I forget what it's called.

A long tailshaft TH350, 9", will allow you to use the same driveshaft. If the TH350 has the shorter 6" tailshaft then you need a driveshaft from a 82-83 f-body that came with the TH200 tranny.

Pick up a tranny swap kit from TCI, Hurst etc. It will allow the tranny mount to line up and provide a place for the torque arm to attach.

There's a few other things required also but I'm sure the kits cover all of them. You need a vacuum line from the intake down to the tranny for the modulator valve. The bracket for the TV valve cable is different than the TH350's detent cable.

The wires are for two things: 1) for the tranny to tell the computer when it's in 4th; and 2) for the computer to tell the tranny to lock the torque converter clutch. If you don't have 4th or a TCC, you don't need the wires.

The TH350 torque arm mount kits are available from Summit & Jegs. If you want to do it right, get the crossmember/torque arm kit from Spohn.
