porting & polishing intake and porting throtle body
hey guys. the intake on my bird now has a light porting job done on it. the intake is an ugly grey. i got another intake off my parts car today and i started to port it today. i was also going to paint it red to match the car. i was using wizard rotary tool with a buffer on the end. it was getting the crap off the runners but is that the proper way to do it? how far down in the runners should i port and polish? i also got a new throtle body. i want to get that ported. where can i get that done? alls im replacing is the top and middle intakes. well i had it all torn down i wanted new fuel injectors. will a set of accel 30 lb/hr work on are 2.8's
hey i love that porting deal....
are u talkin of porting and polishing hte inside ??or outside
u dont need to port the outside...lol
well inside u start with 60 grit and go to 80 grit...
yep get a flex shaft attach for the rotary i borrowed camaro_hunters its a nightmare w/o that...
i ported like 2mm it took me close to 7 hrs...
and i dont think u need 30lbs
19lbs is what chd has and what ive just won in an auction in ebay
its ford 19lbs that should be fine ...i won injectors for really cheap i need to get them blueprinted though
