where to start 1st??
You reach in your back pocket, and pull out some cash. Your intention is to buy a 82-92 standard V6 Camaro/Firebird. Your plan is start start from ground zero to slowly enhance the performane of your baby.
The car runs fine...everything is stock
Where would you begin and why??
Love to here the opinions of all!

ideas...make your car breath better, get more air/fuel in, and more exaust out. cold air intake/ram air, free flowing exaust system, headers, custom y-pipe, hi-flow cat, muffler, and tips!!!! (look good). Then i'd go with ignition, get better spark going, over gap the plugs, msd6a/L , Hi-po coil, 8.8mm wires, etc. then go with the 2030 cam, and some roller rockers, double timing chain, and have fun. Tranny w/ shift kit, vette servo, larger booste valve, and that'll shift like a mother, then add some 3.73 or 4.11's. Last step would be 75 hp NOS, or maybe a S/C or Turbo project. Thatd be the order for me.........but i'm lazy, so i'll just go NOS.
or SC. hmmmmm decissions and money...two things that i've gotta do and get.

Yep, I agree. The major tuneup comes first. Find it here: https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=62882
After that, you need a cat-back exhaust, and an improved home-made intake. In fact; you might want to skip buying a stock K&N filter (for the major tuneup), buy a stock $6 one for the tuneup, and buy a K&N conical for your home-made intake. That way you don't buy two K&N's within a week of each other, and never use the first one again.
Er; unless you get an 85-89 Camaro. That has an improved intake over the 85-92 Firebird and 90-92 Camaro. There's instructions on making a "Ram Air System for Camaro TPI" in thirdgen.org's tech section (off of the main thirdgen.org page), since our V6 MPFI motors share the same intake as the V8 TPI motors, it'll work.
