Hi Guys!
I really could use some of Knowledge and experience you guys have for this problem that has crept up on me for the past two days. Not only am I going to have to replace the water pump that has been leeking all week. (just waiting for Sunday to get here so I would have an off day) But now here is a new problem my 92 3.1 5speed Firebird. It idles extremely rough when stopped or it will die. But when the car is moving at almost any speed I don't even have to touch the gas pedel to be going 65-70 mph on the freeway, and if I clutch to shift gears it revs up to between 2500 and 3500 rpms.
With my limited experience with this V6 car I would only be guessing as to what the problem could be. If anyone has had a similar type of problem could you please tell me what the most likley culprit is so that when I take for diagnosis I don't get BS's by the Mech.
If I have not given enough information please let me know and I will try and provide it

 

How is your Throttle Position Sensor, Idle Air Control valve,timing,and do you have any broken,cracked, or missing rubber hoses? Those are some of the things I would start checking first.
