Difference Between S-10 Truck heads & MPFI F-Body Heads

Valve size.
The MPFI heads valves are HUGH compared to the truck heads.
Besides that the port design is identical.
The ONLY area you MAY ever want to touch, is the exhaust on the exhaust manifold side, ONLY.
Just to "gasket match".
Those "bumps" you may see inside the air passages are
WATER JACKET passages for the coolant.
No you do NOT reshape that.
You'll enter the water area & head is then junk.
IF you do anything to these heads, you can ONLY POLISH the ports.
And that call is up to you.
It's your dollars and effort.
I wouldn't spend the time on these heads except
New Guides
Re-seat valves
Correct spring pressure.
Same level as many V-8's 80/100, unpressured, up to 300 pressured.

Have fun with this debate.
But the diff is only valve size.
MPFI's have the large valve.
