My Accessories position doesn't work so I have to play my stereo in the ON position. I do this only to test my car stereo system.

Well anyways, after cranking up my stereo, when I turn on the headlights, the instrument cluster display lights do not turn on.
When I turn on the head-lights switch, simultaneoulsy, both the turn signal lights and the high-beam light turn on.

Imagine turning on the headlights, and the only lights you see on the instrument cluster are the green harzard lights (that do not flash) and the blue high-beam light. Everything else is DARK.

The headlights operate normally (the harzard light do not turn on, nor the high-beam.

After a while the instrument panel lights are normal again. It's like it resets itself or something.

the part with the lights going out is probably a ground probably, or that's what mine was at least, as for the hazards and high beams thing...... I dunno...

 

im not sure if this will help or if your car is same i have a digital dash camaro it did same thing when i turned the lights on all interior lights went off including the whole gauge panel so i couldnt even tell how fast i eas goin at night..well anyways under the dash on the passenger side was a black box with relays and circuit brd i found a dead diode on the brd replaced it and it works fine now

 

I would lean on what Junkie said.And check the ground wire. The black box is called the convience center and I would get the two diaodes out and take them to a parts house and get the exact same parts, I wouldnt try to explain the parts to them they will say "whats a convience center?" It will be less of a headache if you take the parts to them and let em get the exact ones to replace it.

 

Thanks guys, but the problem fixed itself......again!

Just one more question, are all the ground wires in the engine compartment, or do I also need to remove the dash?
