Building Up A 2.8
Building Up A 2.8
I was thinking of getting A used 2.8 block to rebuild. What kind Of mods could I do to it. Is there any difference for the diferance in the years. And can any of the 2.8 stuff be applyed to a 3.4 engine.

Build ups for the 2.8 could be:
Ported and poslished Heads and intake.
Rebuild at .030 over, with forged interanals.
A better cam.
Headers if you can find them on Ebay or from Camaro_hunter
A 2.5 inch exhaust,
NOS.
A better Air intake setup, such as dual snorkel with K&N's
TB bypass.
Chip.
Shift kit.
About the different 2.8's its better to use the 85 and up because of the FI and better breathing heads; it makes 135 verses the 82-84 Carbs that make 102-107.
