where should i really begin?????

ok everyone i finally took this car out for a long run late last night up the sawmill anyway.......... i need advice you all given me tons of info on how to fix up this car. I'm as of this moment waiting for my exhaust system to arrive from submitt :lala:
but what should i really do next.......

ok to refresh i have a 91 totaly stock firebird with a 3.1 and 120,000 miles

i started with a full tuneup and the exhaust (mainly b/c the old one fell out )

yesterday i hit a really small bump i was only doing 40ish (radar went off) and it felt like the car twisted in three directions at once.

now i planed on dooing the shocks, struts, springs, and (this is still a toss up between) the energy suspension or the P-t-s full kit next week

but should i also try the SFC and or the STB everone keep's talking about

and can i get some feed back between the energy and the pts/ pst i always get them mixed up and when i might be able to get a good set of these sfc and or stb

thanks

Stuart's Third Generation F-Body 60* V6 Performance Modification Guide Has lotsa info about "Chassis" Mods you speak off I wonder who wrote that

As far as what else is "finished on the site, check out "Chassis", "Ignition", "Exhuast", and "Suspension" has a good start...

www.P-S-T.com has the FRONT rebuild kit, just thought i'd point that out

Get the Energy Suspension Polyurathane endlinks from Summit 2 5/8 inches rod sleeve, if memory serves me correctly, you'll need two sets, one for each bar. You can use these on new bars if you get bigger ones!

as far as the SFC, get the Spohn version!

the Jamex STB clone you are probably reading about hasn't been finished yet, but if you are lucky you might find one on ebay, but expect to pay more than $30 !!!!!!

Look into a IROC wonderbar, or you can buy a new Steering Box Brace from Global West for $47...

I think of some more stuff, read my site...

the PST kit is POLYGRAPHITE and Energy Suspension uses POLYURATHANE, so yes the PST kit is better. Polyurathane cuases squeeks under use and they do something els which i can't remember but the polygraphite eliminates that as well. I am at work so my memory is gone

I got my Energy Suspension stuff from Performance Suspension Components.
I think I have Polygraphite. It's black.
I installed this stuff on the Corvette (all over except frame mounts as I have not separated the body from frame yet) & my 85 Blazer.
Corvette doesn't squeek
Blazer does.
Same stuff.
Here's why.
On the Corvette, I USED TONS OF THE MARINE GREASE, Especially on the bolts going thru the bushings.
And the Surfeces getting clamped upon.
And the end Washer Surfaces. BOTH SIDES!
LAST LINE IS THE BEST TIP!!!
On my Blazer, I used it sparingly.
Blazer squeeks, Corvette doesn't.
Did Blazer in early 90's
Corvette later 90's.
MANY miles on both.
ONLY PLACE the Corvette squeeks?
Over speed bumps.
Why?
The grease on the surface of the sway bar, as it swings up & down over the speed bump.
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't keep enough grease in place as I slid bar bushings into position.
Oh well.
Rest of time, dead silence on squeeks.
My Blazer, I could shoot myself for doing such a poor job.

DON'T DO THIS JOB BEFORE A DATE.
When you try to remove this whale snot, you'll find out!

ONLY TIGHTEN ALL SUSPENSION FITTINGS as the car is LEVEL on the ground.
Fully tighten ahead of full car weight on ground you'll screw up the entire job. You've pre-loaded the bushings by tightening before on the ground and that's NO GOOD!!

Rule of thumb, USE MORE GREASE THAN YA SHOULD & on ALL surfaces.
