Has anyone put 1.6.1 rollor tip rockers on there 3.4 and had no clearance problems? I was thinking of this

Did you have a decent prerformance gain that was noticible?

I know of someone (on the web at least) who put those full roller rocker arms on their 3.4 4th gen & didn't have problems. Well, there was this slight tapping sound when the rockers hit the cover, but that went away after a while. The other discussion, here on this very board, was about bonding two valve cover gaskets together to create clearence. There have also been some, with the 1.6 magnum roller TIP rockers, have have had no clearence/tapping problems.

 

mine are just rollor tip so I should have no clearance problems.

This should be like putting in a cam right?

I know there are cams that can give an instant 40 horsepower increase.
So how much would this do on the 3.4 motor?
