Msd???
ok so i want to upgrade my wires to a bigger MM, so my freind beat me to the punch in his 97 t-bird(bosch +4 plats and 9MM Ford Motorsport Wires) anyways he lost power!!
they say his ignition can pump enough juice through the wires so its like having bad plugs with the stock 7mm
question is if this is true or not??
if it is
ill wait and et the 8.8MM with MSD at the same time

In my s10 I went from some kinda reg wires, to taylors 8 or 8.5mm wires and I noticed a difference. 9 does sound kinda big, I would stay in the 8 range myslef.

If your friend lost power, it wasn't because of the wires, I bet it's something he did wrong. Larger MM helps to a point, but past that (to the obscene 9mm and 11 mm wires), it just helps against crossfire and heat resistance. You'll be fine with Accel 8.8's or MSD 8.5's (my wire). Putting 11mm wires on a street car (in my opinion) looks stupid.

I'd imagine they would; keep in mind a stock wire is 15,000 ohms/foot. I forget what Accel's are, I think they go from 6,000 to 3,000 depending on how expensive they are. Plus too, a cheap plug wire set will be cheap all around, and with thin insulation (7mm), the spark can leak out easier.
Try to keep the new wires clean as they go in. Oil can attack a spark plug wire's insulation, and cause spark leak.
