Damn IAC valve!!!!

My night sucked, i took my out IAC valve out to clean it. When i pulled it out the o-ring around flew somewhere. Couldn't find it, so i went ahead and cleaned and put it back on. does anyone know what size that is, or will i be okay without the o-ring?

and, should the middle piece of the valve(forget what its called) be moving from side to side freely? It just seems awfully wobbly.

Oh yeah, one more thing not really v6 related. I am totally in love with the clay bar i just bought. It took all of the railroad dust out of my car!!! I was thinking my new paint job was ruined. 10bucks and 2 hours later, it looks brand new again. I highly suggest anyone to try one that has something they can't get out of the paint. I tried everythingto get that dust out, bar took it out on the first swipe

That's cool about the bar; I have one, the "original clay magic bar", and it worked pretty good on my paint- back when the paint was shiny. I haven't washed the car yet this year. I hear you can use regular water with the bar, if you run out of the spray. Did you do the "plastic bag" test too? I did that test, wow, it was amazing!

Not sure about the o-ring, your 3.1 has a different style IAC than my car does. On mine, it screws in to the TB like a spark plug... yours has 4 screws, right? Places like Pep Boys sell o-rings.. maybe you can pull into their lot, remove the IAC, bring it in, and match it with an o-ring? I found a bag of 5 o-rings for the distributor (1" inside diameter) for $1.25 in the metal drawers by their lugnuts and hardware aisle.

"real" parts stores (not chain stores like Pep Boys) have a red box behind the counter with a whole assortment of o-rings. They could probably match one up for you. 'Course they'll charge you 50 cents for one o-ring, but that's not bad.
