yes the rest of the tranny mount bolts are still in the tranny

on the good side
I got the tranny coolant lines all hooked up now, & have worked out a good idea on ram aired cai though by the evap cannister by going thru the "battery tray" on the pass side.Supreme Member

I believe that you will have to take the crossmember down, and drill the bolts out. Make sure that you use something like a centerpunch to make a dimple in the middle of the bolt so that you drill in the middle, and not into the softer aluminum. Drill a small (1/8th inch or so) hole all the way through the bolt. Go progressively larger, and then try an easy out on it. If worse came to worse, you could drill the bolt all the way out and tap it. Make sure not to break a drill bit or a tap off in there, since they have to be heated and annealed to be removed. Good luck to you, and yes, broken bolts really do suck!!! Especially when you have to remove a bunch of crap to get to them!

Wow, they broke in the trans?? I hope the person before you didn't crossthread the bolt holes; like pontiacguy said, the case is aluminum- and it's easy to crossthread a steel bolt in. Torque spec for those bolts isn't much, either, I think it's 20 ft/lbs. The pan bolts are only 12 ft/lbs!
the fluid pan & crossmember came off just fine
didn't know the tranny case was aluminum, thanks for the heas up
I'm just going to let it slide right now & put the enginebay back together.
