Oops, I did it again...
The Blessing-
MANY of these engine drivtrain swaps still can be duplicated today with better results than in the past.
Sadness.
You guys don't know them/these rides mentioned from when one could actually buy them, New.
Me?
I got my drivers license in 1972.
Read alot before and after that moment, also.
How could you not know about these rides?
Car Magazines plastered them on every page & manufactures made ad after ad about these cars!
It was a really fun time.
Made great reading too!

Yeah....sometimes I wish I lived back then. I've watched old tapes from Nascar...when they were bigger and heavier..but you know what? It was better. Each car had its own distinct personality. Watch Nascar now. I'm often hardpressed to tell two completely different car makes apart..it's sad. That's why I exclusively watch WRC now..
Back then...performance upgrades meant turning a 302 into a 350, or a 350 into a 427. Now it's turning a 1.1 into a 1.6 and making an extra 15 hp. :P

Also Pearl Jam's Wishlist... "wish I was the full moon shining off a Camaro's hood"... not too much (if any) for Firebirds, tho.
I remember that magazine, it was the original untouched motor, wasn't it? Wasn't it some guy from new york?

Gotta love Pearl Jam.. Uhm, not sure...been too long since I've read through it. I can't imagine him pulling 11's on an untouched engine though, can you? Pretty sure it was the original though.

I have that issue. It is still the original unmolested shortblock that came in the Formula. The car pretty much could be the poster car for SLP Performance as it has or had just about everything in their catalog on it.
