Im going to the smog ref on thursday for my cold air intake i still have to pay a 300.00 fine to the state. Has any one gotten there car smogged with a CAI and if so did you pass? they said he is going to do a visual inspection of my car and then is going to basicly smog it.

I checked out sema's webpage before couldnt find it. I have the veichle code book for CA and it states that what i did was illegal you cant modify any emission part on your car. I will fight the ticket tho i purchased the stock air box a week befor ei got the ticket and the day i got the ticket was the day i recived the air box just didnt put it on that day.

Gram i passed smog but i have to go to the smog ref and have him say my intake is legal. I also herd that when you do a engine swap that you can go to the smog ref and he will test it and make sure everything works and is legal and you are then allowed to drive your car on the street.

 

Yea, the smog ref will ok V8 conversions for your car, etc. Id contact SEMA before you see him, you might be surprised what happens. They could send out a representative in the area to come with you.:lala:
