Magnificant Muffler!

I was on a mission to clear out stuff today.
My "new" wrecking yard muffler was aching for the install.
I checked a local mailed free pub and called the only muffler ad I saw.
$35 to install my muffler from the yard.
I discovered my Jennifer came with a Midas muffler. So told by the diamond shape pattern on the outer muffler case.
I was told (by only showing this guy)
that the muffler I had was made by Arvin for a Camaro 305 HO/Z-28 car.
DAMN!
HE'S RIGHT ON!
That's exactly what I took muffler off of, a Z-28!
He installs it perfect, tips exit level. The he ADDS a PAIR of 2 1/2" CHROME TIPS. TOTAL is ONLY $40!!!!!!!!

The 2 1/2" inlet on this "new" muffler slipped perfectly over the factory 2 1/4" I-Pipe.
He'll make me a NEW 2 1/2" aluminumized I-pipe, $65!
VERY FAIR!!!

I am returning for him to install my 1974 Corvette exhaust system pipes I have. And fix the few cracked mounts on the 1985 S-10 Blazer exhaust, too.

I'll ask if he wants too make a welded on smooth "Y" pipe to CC inlet pipe for us, too. I'll be back to this guy next week.

FOR THOSE IN THE San Fernando Valley, CA
NEEDING ANY EXHAUST PIPE WORK

Can't say enough great things about his guy.
I finally found a real live great muffler shop.
That still exists.

Not chrome straight tipped.
Angled down, as in the old 60's Stingrays.
Always my favorite exhaust accent, if that tip works without hitting ground.
I watched as my Wife with Son drove away.
Damn, Robert did a really decent job & I got major lucky scoring this new muffler from a wrecked Z-28 in the yard @ 1/2 price day.
Twisting pipes back and forth worked perfect for removal, as I forgot a decent hack saw!
Kinda feels good to know my effort netted a 2 1/2" in & two 2 1/2" out muffler with perfectly aligned pipes attached and installation with new chrome tips ($54) for price on only a new muffler.

Was even more fun to rent a lift, welder, and helper to do professional welding all for only $40!
I never got dirty as I supervised!

I can't wait to go back with the factory 2 1/2" double walled Corvette pipes for installation on my 1974.
I've been saving this exhaust system for many years to find the right muffler/welding person.

I can't wait to get my 85 Blazer running so he can fix those broken exhaust brackets, too.
Then I modify my Wife's 1968 6 Cylinder Camaro!! exhaust!!

I must say , you got a damn good deal on that work !!! I've paid MUCH more for that for the work that I had and my muffler was put on slightly slanted down and and pipes weren't completely straight . I'll be mailing ya soon karl ....Been a long time no talk .

Waiting to see what this damn Hurricane in the gulf is ganna do ...I went through Andrew about 8 years ago . It was bad , even though Baton Rouge is far off the coast , we had 60 mph winds . This one we wont be so lucky this time , it will be worse .

Can always polish your ride and put results on TV for how durible the wax is!
Withstand Hurricanes!!

I can't wait to spend the saved money on the other exhaust welding work I need.

The day I removed that wrecking yard muffler without a hacksaw, it was like 100*, I had no true shade.
Luckily, someone already started the bending to break free the muffler. Took me like 1/2 hour with breaks under shade of other cars in yard.
That's why I really appreciate how decent this project turned out.
Was so worth my effort.
