?'s about waterpump, timing gear puller, and tensioner

so anybody got a suggestion on a waterpump brand? And what size or part# puller do I need for the timing gears, and where is this timing tensioner at, I don't see and pics or mention of it in my manuals.
Had 2 weeks off from surgery and still couldn't decide on what all to order.

What year is your car? 87-92 had the serpentine system with the tensioner.

There is no aftermarket High performance pump for the 60* v6. Any ol auto parts store one will work. But do yourself a favor and get the lifetime warranty one.

Not sure about the puller...

The timing tensioner looks like a "V", made of rubber-coated steel. It fits in the middle of the cam gear, crank gear, and chain. I don't think it's even mentioned in the GM manual! But the chain can wear into (and mess up) the tensioner after many miles, so they suggest replacing it. Mine was fine at 180,000 miles. I didn't use it at all, the gears of the Cloyes true-dual-roller chain interfere with it, and in fact, the box instructions say not to reuse the tensioner. It's in my basement.

I have a Pep Boys replacement water pump on mine. You -could- do a Meziere.com remote mount electric water pump if you have $300 burning a hole in your pocket! A regular gear puller will pull the crank gear off; you don't need a puller for the cam gear (it bolts to the cam). You will need a balancer puller, though... also called a "ducksfoot universal puller". Remember to either get a balancer installer, or make your own- don't use the original bolt in the center of the crank to reinstall the balancer!! oh yeah, sorry bout that, forgot to click on sig. It's an 89.

Saw the "duck foot puller" on a site while looking for pullers. Shoulda ordered it but didn't. guess I will. The pullers for the gear are more costly, but I'll order one too I guess, and call pepboys or whoever about the tensioner and a waterpump.

Need to try and get this done before gets cold out, but besides not having everything yet, I can't even open my hood or trunk for at least a month (cant lift over 10 pounds and none of the struts work so besides being super heavy, they don't stay open either.) struts are another future project I guess.
