v8 transmounts and crossmember

v8 transmounts and crossmember

ok i bought the 92 camaro v8 transmission mounts, it all bolts up to the transmission, but the crossmember is not the correct one. i read that i can use any 3rd gen automatic's crossmember (v8, and v6) and a v8's manual crossmember. (all auto's and the v8 manuals are the same crossmember right?)
i want to clear this up before i go out to the yard tomarrow. also, how much will this part cost brand new, if i cant find it at the yard???

and to tom p, the stock v6 t5 transmounts were fluid filled, and did cost 300+ dollars for the mount only. what a rip off, so i gonna swap to the v8 trans mount and xmember
ps why did they

i got the ES polly mount, it was 25 dollars.

damnit, i got to put the old broke *** mount back in for another week, till i get my part.

The V6 and V8 crossmembers should be the same. I know they are for automatics excluding the 82 fbodys.

Oh yah, I know the stock ones were fluid filled; my argument was that if a v8 doesn't use a fluid filled mount, then we don't need one- and to do the same fix you're talking about... modify the car to take the $25 poly mount. Let us know how everything goes!

yeah... I put the ES Tranny mount with a V8 Auto crossmember to replace my fluid-filled mount and stock V6 crossmember... I think my T5 tranny is slouching a bit now... it's hard to get into 4th gear now ... what can I do about this?
