any difference between 2.8 and 3.1 plug wires???

hey guys...i looked up the part numbers...ACC-4079----for 3.1.
ACC-4078----for 2.8. I think they are 8.0mm???? anyways, summit has the ones for 2.8 in stock...the ones for 3.1 out of stock(backorder). Well i have a 3.1.....do you think there is ANY difference in the two sets of wires?????

There might've been some difference in length, but otherwise, I don't see a problem. Both cars use the same ignition system, both cars use the same part # distributor cap, and there's no difference at the spark plugs, either. I say go for it! (Weird about the different part #s, though.)

Nope - just get the cheaper ones

Unless the 2.8 are 7mm, and the 3.1 are 8mm... I believe accel's part number for 8mm for the 2.8 is ACC-4021, tho...

well...from what i see, the 2.8 ones ARE 4078......anyways..this is interesting...they are not just 2.8, 3.1.....they are actually 4079 for like 87 or 88-92, and 4078 for earlier years. hmmmmm
