spark plugs

I'm changing my spark plugs and I was wondering how do I get to the plug on the passenger side under the EGR valve? It looks hard to get to. Also what torque specifications are there for the spark plugs?

Oh have fun with that spark plug its a B*tch. you need an extention with a swivel socket and some damn small hands to get it out. itll take a few tries but i can be done. me being all thumbs didnt help much. Once you do it a few times youll get the hang of it. i can get it out no problem now but it was a royal pain the first time i did it whnei first got my car 4 years ago.

Tourqe specs dont worry aobut for the plugs, just screw em in thill there tight, but dont crank down on them ridiculously.

Yeah, torque is something like 15 ft/lbs, but after a while, you get used to what that feels like, and don't need a torque wrench. I usually spin 'em in until they stop, and then snug 'em up a bit. Make sure to use air (either by shop air compressor's blow gun, or portable fill-your-flat-tire compressor's air hose, or bicycle pump, or plan 'ol blowing thru a straw) to blow all the crap out of the spark plug's area before you pull the plug; don't want any dirt falling into the motor!

I just used a 3/8 ratchet, 3/8 swivel, and a 3/8 6" extension, and the app. socket, and have never had a prob getting them out. Maybe my car is designed strange??
