Studd...not so.. I believe in the years 90-92 they made a 5.0 RS Camaro. It wasn't TPI like the Z28's, it was a TBI motor. There are 3 or 4 around here.. All of the RS 5.0's that I have seen got those rims..it was the identifier of the 5.0 engine. The 3.1's got the regular mags. As far as whether those rims came on the Z's, I couldn't say. Not many 90-92 Z's around here at all...almost all are Irocs. Can't even recall seeing a 90-92, in detail anyways...
And yeah, I know the blistered hood was factory in the Z's...I dunno whether I prefer it or the louvered hood..they're both nice. Anything's better than the boring flat base model hoods.

The rims are the 1991-1992 style Z28 rims. They are 16x8. They did not come with my car. The car origionally came with the concave painted 15" rims. The blisters were added to the flat RS hood. The blisters were also something brought in for the 1991-1992 Z28s. 1990 was the last year for IROCs (the IROCs had the louvers in the hood) so 1991-1992 there were only Z28's instead. The fog lights were from an IROC and I bought the fog light grill brand new, and a brand new interrior stock switch.
I want to get the high-rise spoiler but that involves filling the holes in the rear quearters left from the 3-piece one and getting a new deck lid for the high-rise one. Some people like the high-rise, some don't, I do, but it's too expensive for me. (As of now at least) Also the 1991-1992 had the little "indents" in the ground effects in front of the tires. I don't have those ground effects, the normal RS ones were fine with me.
Thanks for the compliments!!

No problem man..it's a real pretty car. Literally, everything you've done and the stuff you said you want to do, I want to too...d*mn I want your car.
I love the high rise spoilers myself.. Only thing I can do without is foglights..I like the look but I'd rather chrome chickenwire the grille.

that is totally false. But they were definitely standard on the Z-28's

Yeah, I know about the engine options...3.1 standard for RS's, with the 5.0 as an option..and then the obvious order of engines for the Z's. So the TBI 5.0's got the standard ugly mags as well, with the 16's as only an option? That's weird. All I know is, I've never seen a TBI 5.0 with the 15's...they've all got the 16's. Although maybe the people with the extra bit of cash to spend for the 5.0 decided to pretty it up a bit with extra options, who knows. I just find it a strange coincidence.

Heh alright man..I'm not trying to start an argument or anything. I haven't done research on that and I'm not gonna pretend that I did...I just kinda common-sensed that conclusion up. Hmm....if that's what actually happened...d*mn dealerships. I still would've paid the extra money for the rims, but to be sneaky like that...that's why I avoid them.

Here is a picture of my car with the 15" concave style painted rims. This is before the blisters and when I had the rear window louvers on it and before the tinted windows.

Pretty.. You had the louvers? Why'd you get rid of them? The annoying rattling noises? The fact that automatic car washes never cleaned them good? I still got mine on and I've had several offers to sell them..I might too, I'm tired of them..but they really do set my car out.

90RS3.1 - Yes they were a b*tch to clean I can totally second that man! I hated touching the brakes after cleaning them! My new 1991-1992 style rims have white painted inserts as well. But they don't get nearly as dirty as the other ones did!

Studd..back when I took that photo, the car was stock. Notice the screw-on tips...that was a bad decision on my part. But thankfully, you can now suck on my 3 1/4 in. chrome tips. :P Sure it might be a small engine..but it's not the smallest to ever grace a 'maro.... And hey, I'll race ya any time. I once beat an 84 5.0 Z-28. As far as the condition of his car, welllll.........

ok i got the Hi-Flo cat from CIRCA X AUTOMOTIVE PERFORMANCE in Haltom City, TX it was 95$ then they installed it for another 40$
the dual fan setup i was introduced to it when i met a guy that had it down to a 4th gen v6 firebird, it dropped him a whole second on his track times and raised fuel economy, im going to pay him 140 for parts/labor when i get the money!
lasty my car was in a wreck 2 1/2 weeks ago and when i was ordering parts i saw that the IROC front end/hood was cheaper then the standard stuff i had, well now i have everything on but the front spoiler (it was totaled and im looking for a new one) and the hood louver(hood didnt come with!)
so i was just wondering if you knew where to get them cheap??

basically for the fan setup you have to run 2 for it to do anything alot of my friends have found out that one does nothing
the one i have seen has PVC going into the throttle body then splitting into a y, then those running to front opposites of the car, then the fan being right behind the cone filters
the fans r grounded to the car and rigged to the battery and for them to come on there rigged so they only come on when the car is running at full throttle,
he bought the fans from a boat shop that produce like 200-250CFM a peice

Oooh you really know how to push my buttons dont you? And no, 3 1/4 in. is not r!ce. That is MUSCLE. r!ce is 5 and up. Or a teardrop muffler. To call 3 1/4 in. r!ce is, to put it blatantly, stupid. How many muscle cars have you seen around running 3 1/2, 4 in., 4 1/2 in. chromes? I've seen PLENTY.

Yea so have I, but most of them have the HP to warrant it . 3 1/4 coming off of a 2 or 2 1/2 is just wrong. Don't get me wrong crome is cool just sometimes bigger is not always better. Yea I would call 4 or 4 1/2 r!ce. What are you trying to imitate with a 4 or 4 1/2 pipe, a turbo diesel truck? Personally I think exhaust should be heard not seen. What's so attractive about exhaust pipe and muffler even if it is chrome? So what's next for you? The oversize aluminum tri level aero spoiler painted black to offset your louvers?

It's all about looks...and big chrome tips look good. 2 1/2 in. looks chinsy. And I'm never putting a spoiler on that car unless it's one of the high rise factory spoilers..but I doubt that. In terms of appearance, the next things I'm doing are getting those factory 16 in. rims and if I can find one for cheap, a Z28 or IROC hood....either louvered or blistered. Although I'm getting a cowl if I can get it for cheaper.
