i tried posting on the exhaust board, but i got no results....

I'm looking at buying a new muffler, either a 2.5" flowmaster 80 or a 2.5" dynomax...my only requirement is that it has dual outlets and sounds good....so if anyone has any sound clips of a 60* V6...please post them (along with the muffler type)

If I manage to get my mic back from a friend, I can get ya a clip of my exhaust. I've got the Dynomax catback with a high flow converter... It's not loud at normal idle...but it's very deep. Now, fire the baby up when it's cold out and listen to that fast idle and you'd swear you were listening to a 305. It's THAT good. Just gotta get on the gas a bit for it to get loud. Not too much cabin noise either. I've heard several Flowmasters on 6 cylinders and they sound a little too burbley/***** for my taste...and they don't deepen out well at all.

By the way..if you're gonna do muffler, just do the whole catback..you'll be MUCH happier, and the Dynomax catback is only like $160. Take that stock cat out of the picture and you'll be flying.

 

i have a custom 2.5" hooker aero-chamber setup. since hooker doesn't make a complete cat-back setup for our application. i have a sound clip as well but would have to email it to you.
