Engine: TBI 305, TPI 350
Transmission: Auto, 5 speed
v6 swap
is there a 3.4 liter i have a2.8 firebird that needs more power to say the least, i was thinking 3.1 but iread a tech article on this board that says you can swap in a 3.4 what is the 3.4 from. any help appreciated

Easiest way is to get a motor from a wrecked 93-95 3.4L F-body. The engine is a direct bolt in........you would have to transfer some parts from the 2.8 to the 3.4 however.

3.4l block, heads, pistons, crank, cam
2.8/3.1l intake, oil pan, timing chain cover, acc on front of engine.
3.4l injectors
2.8/3.1l distrib
New timing chain, all new gaskets except for the heads.
thats the quick wording for it.
Base model is 160 hp/200 lbtq, where your 2.8 is 125hp, and the 3.1l is 140.
Ked85 is the :hail: of the swap. Project 85 is in process now, I am in the process for my s10 truck.
Not sure who else is doing it.
