heads and valves...

I have found that there are two different valve sizes for the GM V6's. Are the bigger valves only availabe in the aluminum heads (which I believe requires a different intake than the camaros have). If anyone can tell me anything along these lines please let me know. Thanks.

Earlier 2.8's, 82-84, had smaller valves in the heads. The '84 H.O. 2.8 had larger valves, and the larger-valve'd head was kept from 85-92 for the MPFI 2.8 & 3.1.

i have a motor that is an 85 but it has the smaller valves in it. i want to try to find heads with the bigger valves before i put my new motor together. if anyone has these and want to get rid of them, let me know please. bigger valve sizes are 1.425" on int. and 1.718" on ex. smaller ones (that i already have a couple of sets of) are 1.307" Int. and 1.60 Ex.

Thanks.
