Junction Block Question

I am going to "rewire" the charging system and I have a question. I am going to replace the battery leads to the starter and engine block.I want to run 8 gauge wire from the battery to the junction block and 8 gauge wire from the junction block to the alternator.I put on a new alternator and it seems it can do better.I can turn on the radio and it drops a little on the voltage gauge in the dash. This is a Sony with built-in amp.Nothing big.No other amps in the car and stock replacement speakers.Should I get another junction block to be safe and get two new fuseable links to replace the ones that are there already. One goes to the fan relay and the other goes to the blower for the heater/ac.Let me know if anyone has any suggesstions. Thanks guys.
