Fiero V6 2.8L motor and 4spd Tranny

It was rebuilt by Grooms engines (I have recipts $2600). The engine does turn over, and has been started but runs extremly rough. It had antifreeze in the oil which has been drained out. YOU ARE GETTING A FULL ENGINE ALTERNATOR, STARTER MOTOR, ALL THE FUEL INJECTION STUFF i.e. computer harness. IT IS COMPLETE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. It might be a blown head gasket. The manual 4spd transmission has a new clutch assembly (I also have recipts.)



I know the first thing your gonna say is it runs rough, but I know what happned. He got his new motor, couldn't wait to show off and blew the gasket. [Might of even been a re torque gasket}
easy and happens all the time on a fresh motor, if you dont let it all seal.

Might take 1-200 buck to fix and have a new fresh 2.8
sell the 4 speed to re-cop some cash.

after more reading, the propane is kinda like a NOS kit, but it raises mileage and adds power.

s-10/s-15 2.8 engine throttle body injection.This engine was rebuilt by a highschool auto shop,I have no idea of the history of this engine or what year its from.judging from the TBI and the serp belt it probably would work nicely from '87 to ,92??? I also dont know the extent of the rebuild.It does seem to turn over with a good feel of compression.engine complete with accessorys,except starter. Just scored me some fiero aluminum valve covers for $41 on EBAY. Going to have them polished.

 

There is also a bunch of new crate 2.8 3.1 3.4 and 4.3 motors on ebay and some starting in the 800-1000 range

I would love some cash for a new crate 2.8 but not sure if them newer ones would work.
