Is there any ecm upgrades for my 85 sc 2.8 mpfi i would like to start burning my own chips and there could be a slim chance of fabbing up a turbo system for my car but more than likely not. Also is there anyway to turn our systems into a sfi with junkyard parts?

Visit the PROM burner's forum, and read Traxion's "intro to prom burning" article, and read thru all the messages. (Don't post a message asking for help without reading thru some messages first, those guys hate that!! Have an idea about what you want to ask about.) But otherwise, burning a chip for our v6 is just like burning a chip for a v8. You buy the same hardware, buy chips, buy TunerCat for your computer, and even tune the air/fuel maps the same way.

You might want to shoot the guy called "funstick" a private message. He's done tuning on the v6 PROM, and so has "Denis.V". Check out the "sticky" message at the top of this forum's message list, too.

I'd say there's a 99% chance that you could definately swap the SFI system on, but it's a LOT of work, for probably a minor gain.
