3.5 60* v6
3.5 60* v6
if you though the 60* v6 was dead you were dead wrong.it turns out GM is still making these bastards in the 3.5 version now. my bet would be to buy a 3.5 short block and slap a set of 2.8 3.1 iron head on it. im not sure how they maganed a 3.5 but they did. i was at the detriot internaitional car show and there it was in all its glory.
that funky 2.8 head bolt pattern that funky 60v6 pattern the distributor hole for the oil pump drive it still all there and reasd to be taken over.
so when hunting for a 3.4 remeber you could have a 3.5
ahhhh
PS author highly suggest try to cross ref a few p#'s to ensure a succesful swap.

I didnt think the 3.5 was a V6 , I thought it was a "Inline 5 cyl " Not tryng to start a pissing match or flame war . Just curious , and wondering if anyone else heard this ?

good news is its a cam in block pushrod v6. to me it looks like one could really just swap the heads from a3.1 or a 2.8 along with the intake and the motor mount boss's can be bolted to there 4 flat recess's. go take a peak these are in junkyards now.

Car: 1991 Corvette Coupe
Engine: L98
Transmission: 700R4/4L60 same trans different name
only downside is that they probably only make a FWD version, thus the starter is going to be on the wrong side and your gonna need some funky custom motor mounts
Dead?? GM still uses the 3100 and 3400 in plenty of cars.
As far as this 3.5, the only one I'm aware of in production today is the Olds 3.5L.
The 2004 Malibu is scheduled to get a 3.5L V6. Also, GM will be making inline engines based on the 4.2L I6. One will be a 3.5L I5 and another will be a 2.8L I4 all with the same exact bore and stroke.
