Anyone know the bolt size for the flange?

Got a hold of the tools to replace my cat, welder and all. I need to know which bolts are used to bolt the cat to the flange? Anyone have the dimensions?

I would use Grade 8 stainless steel.
No rust no vibration loose no cracking bolts.
That's what I use on my Blazer CC set up.
Minus stainless steel.
I use american sized items, cause I replaced the bolts.
Originals broke during removal.
Good luck!

OK, gotta pick up clamps and those bolts before we start.
Part of the reason I didn't like your guy Karl, was that he would weld the whole thing in. I wouldn't be able to pull it out myself if I had to. But Amber has the torch and the welder and all the air tools needed. I think she even has the bolts...
Thanx.

No Fret or sweat.
My CC is welded to the "Y" pipe & unbolts at the "I" pipe.
Both Blazer & Firebird same way.
I assume that's the factory way.
My buddy was gonna weld on the back flange (for the "I" pipe connection) onto the CC so it would be just like before, for your car. And weld the front onto the "Y" pipe connection.
Hope it all went well!

Hey Karl, were you driving on Woodley today at Index? I saw your Firebird at that intersection.

We replaced the cat last friday, and boy does it make a difference. It wasn't too hard. Hacksawed the clamp off and with some peeling of the old cat, it comes off. Bolt the flange and clamp the new one, and it's all good. Best thing is, if I ever have to get a new cat, I have the lifetime warranty on it. With the welds, I doubt I could pull it myself.

Once I say this I know it'll be gone
I LOVE WOODLEY
Cuts thru real quick the Valley, nice houses to look at.
Who else runs around in a Beige Firebird with a Blue nose!?!?!?!?!
Find me one that has a dab of the stuff to fix my other front nose piece.
I really have no desire to open a new, large box of "Plastic Bumper Fix compound" to fix an area the size of one's thumb nail on my "new" (replacement) front bumper nose cover!

I used Bondo's flex bumper repair kit, it was a two-part compound, just like epoxy. Ran me $3 for two small tubes; maybe you can find it locally or online!
