did timing chain, water pump, and balancer..results so far

3 cuts, numerous scratches, messed up back and sore knees.

new water pump works awsome. temp actually went below 220 while driving back home.

got the base timing back to 10 degrees.

like an idiot, i lost all 4 crankshaft pulley bolts. i was working in a garage with lots of other people working on their stuff. no idea where bolts went and had to drive home somehow. using 3 screws from my balancer puller set, 6 washers, and 3 nuts big just big enough to for bolts to fit through, I was about to use those then decided 2 would be better as it would balance better.

need to find some bolts for it tomorrow though. one is tight, but the other either isn't tight or is stripping something. didn't want to find out.

the center pulley/balancer bolt also isn't tight. don't know if it's shearing off or if the balancer still isn't on all the way. will have to pull it back out and pound on it some more maybe.

I'm afraid to try turning it more after one of yall mentioned it snapping off. who was that anyway.

anyhow's, i'll post in a day or 2 if there is a difference in power, as i was unable to get on it due to the snowstorm i had to drive through on the way back combined with my paranoid feelings that my balancer was going to fly off etc etc.

also a word of advice for anyone about to do this same job...get a reall small gear puller but with long arms, or you won't get the crankshaft sprocket off.

and good luck trying to get the @%&*steering pump rear bracket back on
