Coolant Leak?

Today i walked to my grague and smelt anti freeze and didnt think much of it so i backe dmy car out and saw a pool of anti freeze and my radiator was almost empty. So i figured it was the waterpump so i got a new one and put it on the bearing on the old one felt like they had seen better days but it still looks like it is leaking can it be the cover that is behind the waterpump is there anyway to tell? Ill find out when i go to school tommorw if it is still leaking any ideas what it could be?

I am assuming you checked your radiator hoses . Don't mean to make you feel stupid or anything , but we do have bad days and forget to do stuff . Anyway , it's prabably a heater hose or one of the freeze plugs on the block . did you check your radiator ? I've had busted radiators and had to look good to find the leak .Sometmes they leak out from the seam on the bottem .

goodluck !

I tell ya whats more fun. Hearing this grinding noise in the engine bay on the way to work. Then you get there and pop your hood the shaft of the pump was comming out and water was pouring out of it. So I go and ask my boss if I can go to a parts house reall quick to get a replacement one so I could put it on after work. I go and ask and they are like NO NO NO, I crashed the #1 CNC this morning and I dont want to fix it so your are. I wanted to but I need the job for my hobby. Well after some bargianing I was able to go and get it.
Once I got the new one on around 10:40ish I refilled my radiator then started the car back up to only find the new one was cracked and had a small leak. So the next day I go to college and I skiped my quickey lunch to go and get a free water pump inplace of the cracked one. Thankfully this one was perfect and quicker to put on.
