nevermind, i went back and returned them and went with the stock 7mm borg warner wires. finally got some sense talked into me by the part guy lol. wont make a difference on my v6 anyway. also these have a lifetime warrenty and i just walk in with my old wires in a year and out with new ones. no mailing them in for replacements.

I spent $28 for my universal fit set.
Years later on I sent in & got back a set of $70-$80 8.8's!
For a mailing cost of $4!
I got TWO brand new sets of Accel 8.8's for my V-6's (see below) that way.
Last set sent me was several weeks ago. Now on Blazer
Turnaround was about 4 weeks.
SO WORTH THE EFFORT
For originl investment of only $28.

To answer your question anyway (4 D other peeps read'n dis) - When I used a custom set there was a little packet of silicone lube in the kit. If one does not find the silicone in one's kit, one might purchase it separately. It also helps to trim the outside insulation back at a slight angle.

yeah i used that stuff but didnt help. it came w/ 2 different kinds of boots. one of them were real easy to slip the wire through but i dont think i'd be able to fit them all on the distributor because they were wide. the other ones that looked like the boots i had w/ the original wires are a PAIN to get on, i wasnt able to even do one even w/ the grease.

I've always used some water with dish soap in it. Also cleans the grease off!
