New exhaust
I needed to replace the cracked rusted exhaust on our '91 RS, and was considering a catback from Summitt or something. But in the past a system has been welded on to the cat which was welded to the Y-pipe so there would be some cutting and splicing to do. Anyhow I stopped by a local shop.
I got a mandrel bend factory type replacement pipe, a 2 1/2" Groelich brand (aftermarket replacement supplier) turbo mufler and a new 18" 3" diameter rolled tip tailpipe out the drivers side for $125-. Sure it's no Dynomax or Flowmaster but it beats a weekend lying under the car. Nice mellow sound at idle, raspy at high revs.
