I don't remember the stuff being at Discount Auto..but I could be wrong... A lot of the specialty shops around here carry it..the local drag and car performance shops. Just not the small r!cer ones. I bet that stuff is godawful expensive though. I saw the price of Mobil 1 synthetic yesterday and almost crapped my pants.. I'm stickin to my Castrol GTX dinosaur oil! It's bad enough having to pump 93 octane!

Just a question, WHY?
Your not gonna see the gains they advertise with the V6. Just not gonna happen. Stick with Normal full synthetic(I run 5-30 Castrol Syntec personally), 5 quart bottle for 18 bucks.

I think he's talking to krazy.... But still, I think his point is justified...I can't really see it doing much for anything under 200 horses or so..but you never know I guess. I wonder how my 302 would like it...... Ah, if only I weren't broke.

yeah the price will kill you but in the 350 i liked how it runs i can feel a difference but the motor is also on the uphill side of 200 horses

Yeah I've got an estimated 250-275 horses...maybe I should try that out! Along with a K&N filter. It's still got a crappy paper in it...never got around to replacing it with a better one..kinda wanted to save up an extra $50 and buy an intake arm and conical.

ya so it says its sold at Istooks Eurosports, i need my freind to be back from springbreak toi see how much he can get a case for with his employee discount

i mean they cahnged calibers 3000$ job to a 500$

You know how often I change oil? about every 5-6 months, and even then, it's still good.

There is nothing wrong with taking care of your car, I and just about everyone will agree that Synthetic is better then organic. But the difference between a top brand Synthetic, and Royal Purple on a street car will be little to none. And when you can buy the Name brand stuff for 18-19 bucks per 5 qrts, as oppossed to 6-8 bucks per Qrt for the Royal Purple....

$6-$8 per quart of the purple? *** d*mn! Screw that! MAYBE when I get a job that rakes in, oh you know, more than 80 F%^$@^cking dollars a week!!! But with all the money I'd save running top dinosaur oil as opposed to top synthetic, in a few oil changes' time, I'd have money for more performance parts! Hmm...better oil, or longtube headers...better oil, or Hurst shifter assembly....

I run Royal Purple, but my dad is a retail seller of the stuff on the side... Look at the picture below... I have a HUGE drum of it on the passenger side of my car...

When I change my own oil, I use synthetics, but when I have the oil changed for me, I use conventional. Sometimes if my oil is low and I have conventional oil, I'll just fill it up some more with synthetics.

I don't care if the synthetics make a gain or not. I like the fact that a lot of synthetics are almost clear looking, which looks cleaner and healthier than conventional oils.

Also, with synthetics, you can go much longer in between oil changes. Synthetics are made to last longer.

Synthetics are just too expensive for me to use right now with the current gas prices. Now I don't drive my car 150 miles every Saterday and Sunday just for the fun of it anymore. Since I have excellent gas milage and range right now, I think I'll just reduce my fun time driving to 100 miles a week.
