I didn't happen to read about your bogging problem, but do you get a SES light too at the same time it bogs? Do you have an aftermarket/custom CAI?

did you reinstall the IAT sensor when you put your CAI on your car? If you don't, it will bog down your car after going through the closed loop mode, once in open loop the ECU starts to take readings from the sensors.

Good for you. I have long given up on trying to beat other people. Instead of beating other cars, I am more concerned with just beating my own car time wise.

If you had beaten a Sunfire, I would be more excited because I hate those cars.

Actually I believe it's the reverse....car runs open loop until it hits a certain temperature, and the O2 sensor starts giving a varying signal output, telling the computer it's working..when that happens, the car goes into closed loop and starts relying on the sensors, as well as utilizing the EGR.
Just had to bust your ***** a little man..

I gave up on street racing a while ago..cops are, LITERALLY, everywhere here. It's a fairly small town but it's growing really fast, and cops seem to make up 25% of the population on some days.

BUT back when I did race (my car was a 91 RS auto)....I beat my friend's 86 2.8 auto with a Flowmaster, a 80-something godawful Camry....and one of those 80's Nissan Z cars, I just can't remember the numbers...well it was either a Z something or an SX something...he had exhaust AND was a 5 speed! I dunno what was wrong with his car but he got me off the line and was ahead but I started pulling on him once I hit 2nd. I cut off way early though after abruptly remembering we were near a police station. Not 20 seconds later did we pass like 10 cop cars all massed together..I think they were making some sort of drug bust at a local condo complex. I lost to my friend's 94 Saturn...that was sad. It took the exhaust system before I could beat him. Until then, I ate him up off the line, as Camaros are known for....but once he hit those high rpms his stock little torque-deficient low-horsepower four-banger hauled nuts right past me! Should've seen the look on my face at that one.

Man was it nice after I got the high flow cat and catback though. Ohhh was he upset. We both nailed it and I pulled an entire car length on him in only 1st gear. I hit 2nd gear, where he normally pulled past me, and I put another half a car length on. I was so excited about it that I forgot that I was coming at the street's end, so I had to lay on the brakes and locked the fronts up three times before stopping in a cloud of smoke about a foot and a half past the stop sign.

WW...I hate correcting people cause I'm never 100% sure if I'm right or not...and if I'm wrong I look like a total ******* then.. Some people don't take lightly to being corrected..you'd be surprised...

Uhh....
Yeah but their Sunbirds arn't Turbo'd are they.
I'd smoke you.

2.0L Turbo at 9PSI.
165 HP, 175 TRQ, 2300lbs.

15.4 1/4 est

You beter hurry to. Soon I will have a HUGE wing and a HUGE muffler. Only kidding.

I have planed:

Spearco Front mount intercooler
Manual Boost Controller
Larger turbo... 17psi - 25psi... Depends on the gas....
Blow off Valve
2.5" Exhaust.

Should put me around 230+HP and 13~ 1/4.

I was pretty amazed the other night. My little beast put a pounding on a newer Explorer. I had given up hope that a 2.8 could beat anything. Dude tried me 3 time. From a stop, a roll and a 25 MPH roll. Granted I would only run him till around the speed limit anyway (about 60). He wanted that high end race. Funny thing, with the new cam top end is my power range...

Careful now. If you try to spank a Sunfire with a 2.4L engine, it'll slap you back.
